African Beach Volleyball representatives Kenya (women) and Morocco (men) have both been paired with Brazil, the reigning Olympic Beach Volleyball champions at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Both Morocco and Kenya earned their tickets at the Africa Cup Beach Volleyball Championships that concluded two weeks ago in Agadir, Morocco.

Kenya’s duo of Gaudencia Makokha and Brackcides Khadambi have been drawn in Pool D of the women’s tournament alongside Brazil, the US and Latvia.

Morocco, meanwhile, will be represented by Zouheir El Graoui and Mohamed Abicha, the duo who will face off with Poland), Brazil and Chile.

The draw was held in Shiokaze Park. Beach Volleyball will bring together 24 teams divided into six pools of four teams.

Kenya will represent Africa in the women’s category, while Morocco will play in the men’s group.

The match schedule of the  Olympic Beach Volleyball will be announced in the next few days.

Brazil beat Italy by straight sets in the women’s final held at the Copacabana Beach in Rio in straight sets while the Netherlands defeated the Russia in the bronze medal match.
