Four-time Kenya Cup-winning coach is the new tactician for the Kenya U20 national team.

Curtis Olago is the new head of technical bench of Chipu, Kenya’s development side.

He signed a two year deal with the Kenya Rugby Union Monday, February 15.

Olago’s first assignment will be to help Chipu defend the Barthes U20 trophy.

The former Kenyan international has tested some success in the domestic league as a coach-having won four league titles with KCB in 2015,2017,2018 and 2019.

During his active days as a player, Olago turned out for Mean Machine, Kisumu, Impala, Nondescripts and KCB before plunging into coaching upon his retirement.

“It is a huge honour to be called upon to handle a national side,” Olago told the Union’s official website.

“I look forward to steering Chipu to even greater heights.”

Chipu is an important cog of the Elite Player Development pathway to the Kenya nation team squad.
