The FIFA World Cup trophy arrived in Ghana on Saturday at the start of a two-day tour.

The World Cup trophy was accompanied by French legend and World Cup Ambassador David Trezeguet.

Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kurt Okraku expressed his delight at the arrival of the trophy on Ghanaian soil.

“I am super energized and motivated and I guess that motivation will enter the team,” he said in an interview.

The trophy tour invited football fans to view the most iconic symbol in football and experience the real magic of one of the world’s largest, most anticipated sporting events.

Ghana is among the five African countries that will participate in the 2022 FIFA World Cup scheduled to take place in Qatar in November and December.
