Kenya’s Tabitha Wambui has been slapped with a seven-year ban by the Athletics Integrity Unit for testing positive to banned substance  Norandrosterone, a metabolite of Nandrolone.

This comes after the 38-year-old long distance runner provided her first  urine sample on 19 September 2021 at the Copenhagen Half Marathon in Denmark.

Later on 17 October 2021, she provided another In-Competition sample at the PKO Poznań Half Marathon, an event that she won.

Consequently, her results since 19 September 2021 have also been disqualified with all resulting, including the forfeiture of any titles, awards, medals, points, prizes and appearance money.
