LaLiga Santander Matchday 35 and 36 have been decisive in the season run in. FC Barcelona secured Champions League football, after two exciting games, winning 2-1 away to Real Betis and 3-1 at home to RC Celta.

Atletico de Madrid, meanwhile, also secured a top four spot, beating Real Madrid 1-0 and Elche CF 2-0 away. Elsewhere in the league, Granada CF put daylight between themselves and the relegation zone, scoring a whopping six goals in victory away to relegation rivals RCD Mallorca and beat 10-man Athletic Club 1-0 at home.

Following all the action, FUT Team of the Week 34 features three LaLiga Santander players, RC Celta star striker Iago Aspas, legendary FC Barcelona left back Jordi Alba and on-fire striker Jorge Molina of Granada CF. These three players join a dream team alongside the other members of TOTW 34 such as Raheem Sterling and Patrick Schick, among others.

FC Barcelona secured their spot in the top four, defeating Real Betis with an epic last-minute goal from Jordi Alba to win 2-1. Barça’s left back and leader scored a thunderous volley that nearly burst through the roof of the net.

He also showed off his defensive prowess in the game against RC Celta, where after a dominant first half, the opposition started attacking down the opposing flank, due to his energy and ability to consistently thwart any attacks coming his way. Thanks to his massive week, Alba got an upgrade of +2 OVR (88), +4 in his Physical and +3 for his Defence and +2 for his Pace, bringing him up to an electric 88. A rapid full back option, and a great benefit for overlapping if you are utilizing a formation using wingers.

RC Celta’s key talisman Iago Aspas scored three goals in two games this past week, netting twice in a 4-0 victory over Deportivo Alaves and scoring a consolation goal away to FC Barcelona. He scored a classic goal for his first, ghosting in behind the defence and firing in at the near post. For his second he hit a freekick into the wall, only for the ball to come back to him and tuck away a volley neatly into the corner.

Despite losing to FC Barcelona 3-1, Aspas showed his quality, capitalising on a mix up from the Barça defence before coolly placing the ball past the keeper. Securing an overall of +5 to an 89 OVR, his is one of the finest LaLiga striker cards in the game. He saw a +6 for his Pace (88) and Shooting (91), and a +8 for Passing (87) and physicality (71). Just like he’s done for Celta in recent years, this card has the ability to be the focal point of an attack and lead the press from the front.

Granada CF started the week in the relegation zone with two major games ahead of them. Seven goals and six points later, they look almost safe from relegation. Scoring twice in their thumping away to RCD Mallorca, Jorge Molina was the star of the show, scoring a brace in their 6-2 win away to at the islanders and utilising his strength and hold up ability to allow Granada CF to control the game against Athletic Club. For his first goal against RCD Mallorca, he brought the ball down well from a long ball forward, before he composed himself and fired home from outside the box. His second came from a cutback, from which he took the ball in well, swivelled and smashed it in off the post.

His card is an 84 OVR (+7) and is a great change of tempo if you want a physical target man with excellent finishing. He secured a massive +7 to his Shooting (88), Physical (77) and Passing (74).
