ACCRA, June 8 (Xinhua) — Ghana’s Under-23 national team, known as the Black Meteors, have suffered another defeat to the Japan U-24 in the second friendly match between the two sides on Tuesday, the Ghana Football Association said.

The Japanese scored twice in each half to record a 4-0 win over the West African side.

Forwards Hayashi Daichi and Tagawa Kyosuke scored two quick goals in the first half with Itakura Kou adding to the tally in the second half before Frimpong Amoabeng’s own goal.

Tuesday’s defeat comes after the Black Meteors suffered an earlier 6-0 defeat to the Japanese side last Saturday morning.

The team will next travel to South Korea where they will face the South Korean U-24 team in two friendly matches.
