BetKing Premier League reigning champions Gor Mahia have completed the signing of Burkinabe midfielder Abdul Karim Nikiema Zoko as they seek to strengthen their squad for domestic and continental assignments.
K’Ogalo have not been doing well in the midfield and wanted an experienced figure to stabilize the team especially in the CAF Confederation Cup where they will play Napsa Stars in the finals preliminary round.
“Abdul Karim Nikiema Zoko from Burkina Faso is the latest player to join us,” Gor Mahia announced on Tuesday.
“The midfielder from Gandzasar Kapan FC of Armenia signed a two-year deal.”
The central midfielder has played for Fetteh Feyenoord of Ghana in the 2016/17 season, as well as Ethiopian heavyweights Saint George.
The midfielder joins former K’Ogalo skipper Harun Shakava who was confirmed a day earlier.
“We are pleased to announce the return of centre-back Haron Shakava,” Gor announced.
“He signed a two-year deal; welcome back ‘Shakes’.”
K’Ogalo have been shaky at the back after the sale of Joash Onyango to Simba SC. Andrew Juma was signed to help the Kenyan heavyweights to stabilize at the back but has not been the case.
They have conceded 21 goals in 12 games played in all competitions this season.
