Uganda head coach Jonathan McKinstry has summoned 20 foreign-based players ahead of the March 28 Afcon qualifying match against South Sudan.

Veteran Mamelodi Sundowns custodian Dennis Onyango has been included alongside Azam FC full-back Nico Wadada. TP Mazembe defender Joseph Ochaya is also among the experienced players in the team.

Former Gor Mahia midfielder Khalid Aucho, who currently turns out for Misr SC, has been included as well.

McKinstry has also called League One’s Southend FC’s Elvis Bwomomo, Midlothian FC forward Anthony Mubiru and Jayden Onen.

Five positions have been reserved for local-based players who are in camp preparing for Chan in Cameroon in April this year.

Uganda are on four points in Group B after a goalless draw away to Botswana and a 2-0 win at home against the Flames of Malawi. South Sudan have lost their initial two games.
