Nzoia Sugar FC trashed visiting Wazito 4-0 in a midweek action staged at Sudi Stadium on Wednesday to claim top spot of the FKF Premier League standings.
First-half hat trick from Joseph Mwangi and a goal from Beja Hassan were enough to hand Nzoia the much deserved victory.
The in form Bungoma-based millers took their points tally to 21 out of 10 outings in the new campaign.
Tusker surrendered their lead to Nzoia after drawing 2-2 with FC Talanta in their league fixture played at the Ruaraka Grounds on Wednesday as well.
Ibrahim Joshua fired the Brewers ahead in the 2nd minute before Mwinyi Shami made it two in the 11th minute.
Brian Yakhama pulled one back for FC Talanta in the 31st minute and Oalo Dennis leveled the scores in the 58th minute.
Elsewhere, Kennedy Ochino struck in the 11th minute to give KCB a 1-0 win over Nairobi City Stars and second position in the league.
AFC Leopards ended their losing run with a 2-1 against Mathare United at Nyayo Stadium. Gor Mahia drew with Sofapaka 0-0 at the MISC Kasarani.
