Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo insists he wants to stay at Old Trafford.
It had been suggested Rojo was ready to leave with an aim of returning to the Argentina squad.
“For now I would like to stay at United,” Rojo told the media. “I spoke to the manager before the end of the season and we spoke about his plans for me.
“He said that I was in his plans, that I’m an important player and that he wanted me to return to full fitness, to be able to count on me in the first team. It’s now time to rest and spend time with my family before returning to England.”
Rojo’s time at United has been plagued by injuries limiting his game time.
“He has been a frustrated figure since he arrived due to injuries, we hope he will this time round shake the injury off,” said United fitness trainer.
