ROME, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) — Napoli continued its winning streak in Serie A, beating Fiorentina 2-1 on Sunday and becoming the only team still with a 100 percent win record across the top European leagues.
Napoli visited the Artemio Franchi stadium off the back of six wins in a row, but Fiorentina went ahead in the 28th minute as Dusan Vlahovic assisted Lucas Martinez to fire in a first-time volley.
The Partenopei leveled the game minutes later, when goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski saved Lorenzo Insigne’s penalty but could do nothing to prevent Hirving Lozano from following up the rebound.
The away side turned around the game straight after the break as Piotr Zielinski set up Amir Rrahmani’s winning header.
Napoli now leads the table with 21 points, two ahead of AC Milan who beat Atalanta 3-2 away on Sunday.
The Rossoneri were two goals up in the first half with Davide Calabria’s goal after 28 seconds and Sandro Tonali’s solo run, and added a third with Rafael Leao’s drilled effort in the 78th minute.
The Dea pulled two goals back in the dying minutes, but it was too little, too late.
Roma bounced back from its defeat in the Rome derby by beating Empoli 2-0. Henrikh Mkhitaryan took center stage with a goal and an assist.
Also on Sunday, Bologna stunned Lazio 3-0, Hellas Verona humiliated Spezia 4-0, and Sampdoria shared the spoils with Udinese in a 3-3 draw.
