BOXSCORE: NEW YORK (June 24, 2021) The official trailer for the upcoming documentary on Kenya running legend Eliud Kipchoge, KIPCHOGE: THE LAST MILESTONE, has been released, Thursday.

The film follows the marathon world record holder and three-time Olympic medalist Eliud Kipchoge as he prepares to break one of the last milestones in sporting history – the sub-two-hour marathon.

The film, directed by Jake Scott and produced by his father Ridley Scott, follows Kipchoge, who has been described as “the greatest marathoner of the modern era”, from his training grounds in Kenya to the high-tech facilities in Europe, and finally to his record-setting attempt in Vienna.

For the film, Jake Scott (pictured left) was given unprecedented access to Kipchoge as the documentary follows the awe-inspiring journey of not only a pursuit of personal triumph but a triumph of the human spirit.

KIPCHOGE: THE LAST MILESTONE takes the viewer on a journey from Kipchoge’s home in Kenya interviewing the people closest to him while following the daily rituals while also revealing the dynamics within ‘team’ and ‘community’.

This past April, the Kenyan runner finished the NN Mission Marathon with the time of 2:04:30 which is the fastest time in the world this year and sending a clear message that the 36-year old is still the one to beat for gold in Tokyo.

KIPCHOGE: THE LAST MILESTONE is set to be released digitally August 24.
