Uganda Cranes striker Fahad Bayo has revealed South Africa giants Mamelodi Sundowns are eyeing his services.

The Vipers SC striker has been excellent in the concluded 2019/20 season scoring 12 goals to help his team win the Ugandan Premier League.

Despite Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca showing interest in him, the 22-year-old has different ideas.

“As it is, Mamelodi Sundowns are interested in me and they have contacted me before,” Bayo told Kickoff.

“I am ready for a move and my team is ready to release me. I am ready for Mamelodi [Sundowns] as it’s the best offer for me. If they are ready to sign me, I’m ready to join.”

Whether the Venoms will let him leave or not it is yet to be seen considering the fact that they are playing in the Caf Champions League after being crowned Ugandan champions.

‘Wydad Casablanca came with a good offer last season but the president rejected it as he bought Bayo to help win the league but also play in the Champions League after that,” Vipers’ Communications Officer Abdul Wasike said.

“All clubs want to make money, so if Mamelodi comes back with a big offer and put things on the table, they will discuss and see a way forward.”

Bayo has about two years remaining in his contract with the UPL champions.
