Uganda’s  Okello scores on debut for Paradou in Algeria Cup

Allan Okello debuted for his new side Paradou AC with a goal in a 5-0 win against MC El Bayadh in Algeria Cup.

The Uganda Cranes’ 19-year old attacking midfielder joined the North Africa side late last month after impressing for former side KCCA FC. The youngster made his debut on Thursday and made an immediate impact.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 16th minute through Yousri Bouzok who was at the end of an excellent move. It happened to be the only goal in the entire first half as the visitors resorted to a cautious play.

After the break, Paradou doubled the advantage through Tarek Bouabta in the 56th minute before Abdelkahar Kadri made it 3-0 two minutes later.

The hosts continued attacking and five minutes later, Hicham Messiad struck the fourth for his team.

Okello struck in the 90th minute to ensure Paradou advance to the quarter-finals and stand a chance of winning the competition in which the overall winner will play in the Caf Confederation Cup.

Defending champions CR Belouizdad have been eliminated after falling 1-0 to UM Biskra with Adel Djaabout scoring the only goal after 38 minutes.
