South Africa will host the Africa Men’s Rugby Sevens Olympic Qualifiers in November 2019.

The continental showpiece, that will also double as 2020 Tokyo Olympics qualifiers, will be staged in Johannesburg.

Kenya’s Shujaa will battle for the Tokyo ticket alongside Zimbabwe, Uganda, Madagascar, Zambia, Tunisia, Senegal, Morocco, Namibia, Ghana, Botswana, Mauritius, Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria.

The final two teams will be determined after the World Series that may see South Africa included in the tournament and possibly Burkina Faso.

The tournament will take place between November 8th and 9th.

Kenya finished second in the last edition after they fell 17-5 to Zimbabwe in the final held in Tunisia in 2018.
