Kenya Rugby Union Sunday confirmed the resignation of Chief Executive Officer Aggrey Wabulwenyi on mutual consent.

In a statement, Kenya’s rugby governing body said;

“The Kenya Rugby Union Board of Directors announces to all Affiliates, Partners and the rugby fraternity that it has parted ways with its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Aggrey Wabulwenyi, by mutual consent.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Wabulwenyi for his service to the Kenya Rugby Union and the game of rugby and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” the statement said.

In the interim, Mr. Thomas Odundo takes charge as the acting Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Odundo currently serves as the KRU Director of Rugby and boasts vast knowledge and experience as a former international player, coach and administrator.

The Kenya Rugby Union will initiate a competitive recruitment process for a new Chief Executive Officer and plans to fill the post in due course.
