Githurai All-Stars and Makadara Junior League SA won their respective matches during the Super 8 Premier League round seven matches.

Githurai All-Stars seem to have figured out the secret to adapt in the top flight as they taught fellow newcomers Huruma Kona a football lesson in a 5-0 drubbing at Stima Club Grounds to climb into second place with 13 points.

At the Drive-Inn Grounds, Erick Kariuki’s 46th-minute lone strike was all Makadara Junior League SA needed to bounce back and see off hosts Metro Sports who dropped to 12th place (8 points) after their second defeat on the bounce.

In an entertaining contest of evenly poised sides, it was MASA’s creative edge that stood out as they pinned Rongai All-Stars 3-1 on Saturday 20 April at Makongeni Grounds.

MASA gave their fans a perfect Easter gift by ending their three-game winless run thanks to Chris Oduor’s brace and an early goal from Gona Abdalla.

Meanwhile, the West Conference tie between Kawangware United and TUK as well as the Shauri Moyo and Dagoretti F.P has been rescheduled to a later date.
