Gor Mahia made it two wins in a row in the Kenyan Premier League after a 3-1 win away to Western Stima in Kisumu.

The reigning champions had defeated Mathare United in their earlier game and were aiming at making it two wins in a row for the first time this season.

The Powermen were also interested in getting something from the game despite having a poor record against Gor but Samuel Onyango reminded them K’Ogalo meant business when he scored in the 23rd minute.

However, the hosts were not going down without a fight. They pulled level in the 38th minute courtesy of Villa Oramchan. Baron Oketch picked him in a good area and the Ugandan made his teammates smile with a sublime finish.

Substitute Tito Okello put Gor Mahia in the driving seat once again with his goal in the 65th minute before completing his brace with five minutes to go.

In Nairobi, Mathare United registered their first win after 2-0 victory over Zoo FC.

Daniel Otieno scored the first goal in favour of the 2008 champions after receiving a good pass from John Mwangi.

In the 20th minute, the provider became the scorer. He managed to unleash a good striker which the goalkeeper could only punch. The rebound fell to him and he did not hesitate to double the advantage.

Gor Mahia will play Vihiga United in their next assignment while Mathare will be up against Western Stima.
