Paulo Dybala returned to haunt Juventus with an assist for Tammy Abraham  as AS Roma forced Juventus to a 1-1 draw in Serie A at Allianz stadium on Saturday.

Both sides were unbeaten in the new season as Roma kept a perfect record with back-to-back 1-0 victories while Juve managed one win and one draw.

Juve entered Saturday’s game without Leonardo Bonucci, Angel Di Maria, Paul Pogba and Federico Chiesa, but had Wojciech Szczesny back in goal. Roma added Nicolo Zaniolo and Georginio Wijnaldum to its absentee list. Dybala who moved to the eternal city as a free agent this summer returned to Turin as an opponent.

It was an electric start, as the home side went ahead after 76 seconds in an astonishing way. Dusan Vlahovic’s stunning free kick bounced off the underside of the bar and into the net, leaving Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio rooted to the spot.

Juve was in total charge, and Manuel Locatelli doubled the lead in the 25th minute, but it was wiped out due to Dusan Vlahovic’s handball in the build-up.

The Bianconeri kept dangerous but was punished in the 68th minute for wasting chances as a corner found Dybala at the back post, who rolled across for Abraham to head in from a close range.

Elsewhere, AC Milan temporarily sits on the top after a 2-0 victory over Bologna. New arrival Charles De Ketelaere got his first start and showed his quality as his assist for Rafael Leao broke the deadlock, before Olivier Giroud’s acrobatic volley sealed the win.

Also on Saturday, Torino won Cremonese 2-1 away while Spezia shared the spoils with Sassuolo at 2-2.
