During the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on March 21,LaLiga will launch the Together vs Racism initiative as it seeks to raise awareness of the importance of eradicating racism in all areas of society.

Together vs Racism is an initiative between LaLiga and Electronic Arts (EA) that aims to raise awareness of the importance of eradicating racism in all areas of society, including football and gaming.

“This initiative is part of many others that LaLiga is carrying out in order to eradicate racism, such as the condemnation of racist behaviour that occurs in stadiums and the fact that we are acting as a private prosecutor in these cases”, said Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga.

With this in mind, LaLiga’s Anti-Racism Week is being launched, with online and offline initiatives that will run from today until March 21, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

Among the actions that will take place during LaLiga’s Anti-Racism Week are the creation of an ad hoc kit for EA SPORTS FIFA 22, the development of a social media campaign so that everyone can show their support for the initiative from home, special T-shirts for the starting line-ups in LaLiga Santander matches,  awareness-raising messages on the advertising boards during every match, and stories from players and coaches telling first-person accounts of racist attacks they have suffered and encouraging them to unite to eradicate racism.
