Record African champions Egypt have been drawn in Group F alongside Kenya, Togo, Comoros for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Should they get the ticket, Egypt will be seeking make amends for the poor outing in the 2019 edition where they crashed out of the competition at the round of 16.

Kenya, meanwhile, will be in search of a second consecutive appearance after another poor show at the last edition where the East African side was knocked out of the competition at the group stages.

Kenya, who made their first appearance at the continental stage after 15 years of lull won just one game against Tanzania. They lost to the finalists Senegal and Algeria.

The match between Kenya and Togo will pit the teacher against the student when coach Claude Le Roy takes on his former trainee, Sébastien Migné, the Harambee Stars coach.

South Africa have been paired with Ghana, Sudan and either Mauritius or Sao Tome Principe in group C, while the 2019 finalists Senegal have Congo, Guinea-Bissau and eSwatini.

Uganda, the top ranked East African country, have dates with Malawi, South Sudan or Seychelles and Burkina Faso, while Cameroon will take on Mozambique and Rwanda, Cape Verde as Nigeria battle for a place in to the finals with Sierra Leone, Benin and Lesotho.
