Wazito FC president Ricardo Badoer is set for possible sanctions after the Fifa Disputes Resolution Chamber (DRC) reported him to the Disciplinary Committee over abusive remarks made against players in July.
The Moneybags released players who they felt were surplus to requirements as the vocal administrator took to his Twitter account and accused them of being ‘lazy hyenas’.
“Kicking out no good fucking hyena players that were recruited without my approval,” the Swede investor tweeted.
“All they did was to eat my money and lose games. I wish them the best on the f*cking streets where they belong. They lacked self-respect and love for the game.”
The Wazito owner might now be sanctioned after the DRC recommended the Disciplinary Committee to follow up on the issue.
“On account of the club’s president behaviour, which the DRC found to be unacceptable in light of the manner and language he addressed the players in his public manifestations, the chamber deemed it necessary to refer the case to Fifa Disciplinary Committee due to his possible violations of article 11 of the Fifa Disciplinary Code,” read part of the letter from the DRC.
“Finally, the DRC referred to paragraph 1 and 2 of the of article 24b of the regulations which stipulates that with its decision, the pertinent Fifa deciding body shall also rule on the consequences.”
Wazito started the season with a 4-0 loss to Kariobangi Sharks before winning 3-1 against Vihiga United on Friday.
