Kenyan Premier League giants have completed the signing of Cameroonian midfielder Bertrand Konfor.

K’Ogalo have been rebuilding for the new season and the West African has been brought on board to bolster the team ahead of the busy 2020/21 season.

“Experienced Cameroonian defensive midfielder Bertrand Konfor is one of the new signings as we gear up for the new season,” the club confirmed on Monday.

“Bertrand is a midfielder with a lot of experience in the role having played in a number of clubs in Cameroon as well as doing his trade in Western Asia and specifically in Oman.”

The player comes into the Steven Polack-led charges with massive experience with his latest club being Al Mudhaibi of Oman. The player states he is in Kenya to help Gor Mahia perform well domestically and abroad.

“It feels good to join Gor Mahia knowing it’s one of the best clubs in Africa,” Konfor, who signed a two-year deal with K’Ogalo said.

“I am here to help the club win titles both locally and internationally and I believe with the help of my team-mates and technical staff, we will do it.”

The Kenyan side are rebuilding after losing Dickson Ambundo to Dodoma Jiji, Boniface Omondi to Wazito, Joash Onyango to Simba SC and David Mapigano who left for Azam FC.

They have brought John Macharia who had a stint in Georgia, Sydney Ochieng from Western Stima, Tito Okello from Vipers SC and Andrew Juma from Mathare United.
