AFC Leopards squandered a chance to go top of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) table after Western Stima held them to a one-all draw.

Go-slows and boycotts have been the order of the day at the Ingwe den.

The hosts struggled in the first half, with the Powermen dominating the game.

Baron Oketch opened the scores for the visitors in the 21st minute courtesy of poor defending by the 13-time league champions.

After the break, Ingwe  upped their game as they pushed for an equalizer.

Samuel Odhiambo was forced to make a double save to deny Paul Were and Mark Makwatta.

However, the pressure became too much for the Stima custodian as Leopards’ efforts finally paid off in the 86th minute.

The former Tusker FC custodian parried a Makwatta freekick just as far as Tresor Ndikumana and the latter made no mistake from three yards.

Earlier on, Wazito FC fell 4-2 to visiting Kakamega Homeboyz at Kenyatta Stadium, in Machakos.

Peter Thiongo scored a brace while Kennedy Onyango and Alan Wanga were on target for the visitors.

Johnstone Omurwa scored Wazito’s two goals.

In other results, Mathare United defeated Kisumu All-Stars 2-1, Sofapaka fell 2-1 to Nzoia Sugar, while Ulinzi Stars and KCB played to a barren draw.

The same results were realized in the  Zoo Kericho and Posta Rangers  clash.

At Mbaraki, Chemelil Sugar failed to turn up against hosts Bandari FC while Sony Sugar also failed to honour their match against Tusker FC.
