Western Stima coach Salim Babu is the December Coach of the Month Award winner.

The tactician helped the Powermen win three games and draw once last month as the Kisumu-based side managed to bag 10 points out of possible 12.

It was a stiff contest as Tusker FC’s Robert Matano won the same number of games and drew once as well.

However, Stima managed to score 10 goals, conceding four in the process while the Brewers scored five and conceded two.

“I’m glad this is happening again this season and I want to thank my family and the team for enabling me to win this award,” Babu said after his coronation.

“December was very competitive and I must say we really did our best to win the games that we played. We are trying hard to make the entire team develop and compete for the league trophy. We had good pre-season training and started the season really well but results have not been as consistent,” the former Sony Sugar coach concluded.

The Stima coach pocketed Sh75,000 courtesy of the event sponsors Fidelity Insurance and Babu becomes the third tactician to win more than two of the monthly gongs since its inception five years ago.
